Default 03 6.0 no power

I just bought an 03 f-250 6.0 4x4 and was told by dealer that truck was all fine and so far its not! I've fixed the key hole gasket, air filter, cleaned the EGR valve, checked for codes and something about not enough air came up, but in 1st and 2nd there's no power and can barely hear turbo but when hits 3rd power picks up a lot, on interstate when in passing gear no problem that I know of. There's a rattle/ bump noise that is felt in floor board and replaced sway bar bushings but still there, going to replace front shocks and see if that helps

Default No power

Didn't show any codes, guy at advance auto just said shows not enough air flow? I'm taking It to a ford shop that deals with diesels and get it checked. Rattle in front end has turned into that plus a slight roaring noise also.

Roaring noise may be wheel unit bearing going bad. If it sounds like aggressive tires and is directly related to vehicle speed look closely at bearing. The bump sound could be shackle bushing in frame. A lot of people change spring bushings and neglect frame pivot. Used truck usually need a little love but worth it if you like the truck!

Yea auto parts store scanner won't show anything useful need auto enginuity a snap on scanner or eqivelant or the ford ids scanner...if you plan on keeping this truck for awhile it'd be wise to invest in one of these

If you are serious about scanner and reasonably mechanically inclined the auto enginuity package for your pc should get you good info. There are plenty of posts on here if you read back. Just look at the post date before u reply, some are really old but useful to read.

Default 03 f250 6.0L

Bought an OBD 2 scanner with Bluetooth that works with my smartphone. Ford wants $150 to run a test so? But motor is starting to make a noise? Found out that the ficm on driver side is just sitting there not bolted to anything. Just keep finding stuff that needs fixing that shouldn't
