Default Thinking turbo trouble

I have an 04 6.0 with 250,000 miles on it. Lately it rumbles quite bad when started. It also has lost power and under a load while accelerating it jerks sometimes. It also makes a growling noise when you are accelerating and let off the pedal. We had a similar problem about 6 months ago and someone said egr,so we replaced that and it quite and now is back. Just curious if that was a temporary fix and it's my turbo or possibly is the egr and it's back at it again. Any ideas and help would be appreciated.

Know one else seams to be helping you so here is my thoughts .
If it were me I would clean your EGR there are instructions on you tube. If your are constantly having EGR troubles my advice would be just delete it and your problems will be no more .

One other thing if you think it's turbo related there are a couple videos on YouTube about cleaning the exhaust side of your turbo were all your variable vains are . Basically the working part of the VGT turbo . That stuff is all free and it can't hurt
