I recently have had starting issues,got in the truck first time starting for the day,started normally and was warming it up,ran for about 3 minutes and then surged and shutdown,my fuel filters were do for a change so thats what I thought the problem was,changed the filters, did the cycle and tried to start,now thats why I am here, ran fine up until it surged and quit,also after trying to start it, it cranks for about a minute before it catches,starts and runs nice and smooth and I can use the accelerator to give fuel then guits after a minute or so before just cutting out even as I am fethering the pedal

 

are you getting any codes?
And it sounds like a fueling issue.
Sorry, my 6.l knowlage is small.

I do think its fuel issue
Im thinking its my lift pump
Because of it starting hard running good for a few seconds and quits
