Most common is an exhaust leak where the Ypipe hooks to the turbo, it can be a pita to get that lined up right

Would a bad exhaust leak cause it to start hard sound like it's knocking and when I drove it down the road 1/8 mile it was way low on power

i did a egr delete and oil cooler on my buddies truck got it all back together and it sounded horrible and idled rough and had some white ssmoke coming from under the hood and also had a majior oil leak and looked like it was in the oil valley and going down drivers side onto the exhuast manifold but white smoke was not oil burning off the drivers side manifold and tried taking it down the road the first time i got it running and it barley had any power could only get up to about 30 in 1/2 mile

Make sure the Map sensor tube is hooked up, it gets forgotten often, it is a rubber tube covered with black plastic wire loom and it goes to the intake manifold just behind the alternator. the Map sensor itself is on the Cowl area right above and to the left of the turbo. it will run like crap without that tube hooked up. oil leak is probably a bad gasket seal at the oil cooler

No that is the heater hose,
6.0 map sensor - Bing Images
see the brass hose barb on the left side of the intake between bolts 3 and 4? that is where the Map sensor hose hooks up

And in this picture the Map hose is hanging down right between the oil fill stack and the trans dipstick

Yup map sensor is hooked up is there anything with putting the oil cooler in and doing a egr delete that I could've messed up like over tightening the intake manifold or oil cooler something like that??
