On my 06 F350 I had my fuel gauge "hang up" once and not read accurately. It only happened once so I am not sure if some debris had got in the sender or what. It only did it the one time – since then it has worked fine.

If you are near and International dealer the fuel filter kit will be cheaper from them than from the Ford dealer. Check the sticky notes at the top of the page – you should be able to find the International part number for the filters. While you are at it you might as well pick up the brass drain plug for the water separator from the International dealer. That part number is also listed.

I have a stock 6.0 PSD with over 200,000 miles on it and I have NEVER gotten better than 17.5 mpg. The worst mileage I ever got was just under 9 mpg pulling a 26’ goose neck with a heavy fork lift on it running in 4 wheel drive during a snowstorm in Utah. I was running a GVW of over 27,000lbs.

I averaged 18.5 on highway going to Nashville tenn. From south jersey@ 75 to 85 mph.. . . . Around town I get about 14.5 to 15.5... . . I always fill up, run truck, check miles when I fill up and get gallons and do the math. I'm guessing you are leaking while running somewhere. Maybe near return line or pump. . . Look on top of fuel tank. . Maybe a line corroded up there . .

Dealer is rebuilding front and rear diffs now. Waiting to hear what they say about the mileage but they're fixing what they find. i'm really starting to enjoy the word Warranty

totally unrelated to the consumption or high MPG, you had issues with them too? Good thing for the warranty and hope it all gets resolved. Keeping ears out what the major final issue is...

Oh yeah the pinion seal was leaking when I got it so they got it back. Found a grooved flange and bad seal and replaced it. I never checked on it until I was told 2 weeks later there was oil in the driveway. By this time id used the 4wd a lot and noticed a howl a little louder than my defroster on full so I called and had to wait a few days and by then noticed the mpg issue. Hopefully I get it back by Christmas but it's not looking like it. They gave me a fiesta as a loaner car. It can't hold up to my driving. I'm not sure it's going to last until I get the truck back.

Got it back in early January. Still howled a bit. Saturday afternoon on acceleration I heard a pop and lost power. Figured it was just a boot, got to a stop light and oil pressure dropped. Pulled in a parking lot to check it out and no leaks but hard to start. Held oil pressure above 800 Rpms. Limped home and got a low icp pressure while cranking. The longer it sits the harder it starts. This may be the end of that's trucks stay with me
