I have 220 amp from DC Power engineering in Cali. Designed for over 300 amp output and destined for longevity. Check them out if you want a great alternator instead of a modded stocker! And it looks cool too!

The stock unit is definitely too small for you.

DC Power alternators will charge at around 14 volts.

You can not change to a dual alternator setup without a PCM change.

Lots of sources on the internet about the size of wiring to use - depends on the amp load you have. I have a 270W alternator and went with 2/0 wiring - don't forget upgrading the ground wire also.

DC power included an adaptor. Plug and play. Just over one year, so far very happy! Mine is just 220 unit but all I need. I figured its destined, so less strain on it versus a modded stock unit pushing more than it was designed for. I'm expecting a great long term experience with this unit!

It's detuned, not destined, sry!
