Hi Diesel gods. i know there has been a lot of ? about a no/long start. but mine is kind of different. first let me say its a 05 and everything had been done to it except the head bolts.the problem im having is sometimes after driving and gets hot. if my truck sits for about 30 mins it acts like a no start. but i have the scangauge 2 and when trying to start everything is right. while its spinning over for like 30 seconds it starts. then may not give me a problem for like 3 days. any ideas. please help cause i love my truck.

 

I had a similar problem with my truck and it turned out to be from my hpop started to go out. It wasn't fun cause when it wants to go out it won't give you a sign it just shuts the engine down and there you will sit. I would watch your oil pressure and see what it does when this problem comes up.

 

what would be normal pressure 190? i read that in the 05 the HPOP rarely go out. but i will watch my scangauge2. what number would you say to start being concerned?
