I'm only getting defrost with no other options.....after speaking with numerous parts houses and fellow powerstrokers. Seems to be logical after it being 9 yr old truck and a daily driver......

What you thinking?..?

Defrost is the default setting, meening if the vaccum pump is not working or you have a leak in the 4X4 system then it will only go to defrost, alot of people have had the problem when they turn the 4X4 on the heater goes to defrost because they have a cracked vaccum line or a leakins seal in the front hubs/the hubs are vaccum operated. just behind the battery on pass side there is a vaccum resivoir and then the pump is right behind that, you can turn the key on then remove one of the vaccum lines off the pump and the pump should come on.if not then either there is a blown fuse or the pump is bad, most likely the pump is bad.
