Default HELP

Hey everybody. I've got a 2003 f250. I have literally owned it for less than 50 hours. Today on my way home when I would let off of the accelerator there was a chirping sound that sounded like it was coming from the area of the front driver side wheel well. I noticed a small loss of power but I was 3 miles from home and tried to get her home. I started pulling a big hill and noticed a white smoke coming out from under the truck (not very thick). I pulled over and shut the truck off and could smell antifreeze. My coolant reservoir was making a hissing noise from around the lid. I am positive I had coolant in it last night and tonight there wasn't hardly any in it. I let the truck sit for about 30 minutes then restarted it. When I first started it I could hear the turbo whistling (mbrp exhaust- usually a very loud whistle) and then no whistle at all. When I hit the go pedal the turbo whistle comes back. I got her home (still with the chirping sound). Also it sounds like the exhaust is coming out from the front of the truck instead of the rear where my exhaust exits. this afternoon when my truck was at idle the oil pressure would drop to nothing (no change in the way the truck was running) but as soon as I give a little gas it would go up to normal. Also during this whole time my temp gauge never showed it to be running hot or anything. I am very unknowledgeable when it comes to diesels. I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a clogged oil cooler on the coolant and oil side and possibly a failed egr cooler. Are you using motorcraft oil filters and motorcraft oil filter cap?Open up your oil filter housing there should be a plastic piece at the bottom of the housing.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

one thing else to check is the egr cooler its below the turbocharger on the passenger side its either a round or square tube look for any coolant on top of the engine.

for the oil filter/oil pressure, make sure you only use a Fram or Motorcraft filter, they are the same thing, there are aftermarket filters and are too short to fully compress the drain back valve at bottom of the filter housing, the valve is there to make filter changes cleaner otherwise there would be oil spilling everywhere when cap is removed. There are filters that have a cap and filter as a one piece unit, these are bad and should never be used, the stock filter snaps into the stock cap before it is installed.
As for the loss of coolant it is most likely a ruptured EGR cooler or a blown head gasket, you can remove the EGR valve and see if it is wet or if there is any coolant in the bottom of the intake, if so then it is the cooler and a EGR delete would solve the problem and save alot of headaches later on. if not the egr cooler then it is going to be a head gasket unless the degas bottle is full of oil too then it would be a ruptured oil cooler.
If you wind up doing a egr delete then it is the perfect time to do a oil cooler rebuild, highly recommended for a truck that is new to you and also add a coolant filter to protect the new oil cooler, sand in the water jacket is what causes clogged oil coolers and clogged oil coolers is what causes ruptured egr coolers.
