Default Scared of the 6l, Check It Out

A lot of people are worried about buying the 6l, I personally love mine even tho i get plenty of crap for owning one, but it doesn't bother me. I agree that the 7.3 was a great motor, but time to move on, if we didn't we'd all still be driving model A's around daily. This site i came across has a lot of free videos to check out and great explanations about the 6l problems but also explains how good the motor really can be and is. Check it out let me know what you think, I watched one video and continued to watch them all! Powerstrokehelp.com with Bill Hewitt

What does me being a Cummins guy have anything to do with anything? Trying to save you some headaches and miss information. He has some ok info but a lot of bad to go along with it. Just a few are changing the hpop oil separately from the engine oil (it's the same oil) the pmr rods in 7.3's and 6.0's break from high rpm from being PULLED down.... There's many more but I'm not gonna type a book do yourself a favor and google his shop name or his name with rip off or joke behind it and see some of the threads that show up on the Internet.

most of what i was refering to is the turbo design the govt regulations on emission stuff, and the quality of our diesel fuel, that is a pain for the 6.0's, the overall engine design was not bad and very modern from the prior ford diesel. Didn't say it was the bible just take the good and leave the rest. I work on these things for a living too, i'm not saying i'm a diesel guru cause i'm not i work on all makes and all have flaws just giving some people that want to learn some smaller things on this engine a chance, if that's wrong my bad

I myself have been in diesel mechanic business...let me tellyou most of our business is 6.0s but I myself drive one. I had a 7.3 for 4 years awesome but it was time for a change. Hands down I love my 6.0 more than 7.3. It has been flawless but there is only one problem with my 6.0 pulling a trailer sometimes on a hot day. She shuts down...cant figure out the problem because unloaded it is an awesome daily driver and never gives a lick of problem.

Bill Hewlett is a stand up guy. He may run his mouth, but he backs it up. I bought one of Bill Hewlett's rebuilt 6.0L F250 4x4 trucks and it works great. I also have a 7.3L F350. the 6.0L had all the Dealer Proofing completed before a bought the truck. The 6.0L has lots of power. I picked the truck up on a Friday and drove home. On Saturday the fuel gauge went crazy and would only work if over half full. I called Dana (the sales guy) and told him what was going on. He told me to drop the truck off on Sunday. It's a 2 hour drive one way for me. The problem was the sending unit, Bill replaced the sending unit and Bill himself put the truck on a trailer and meet me at a truck stop outside Atlanta less than 45 minutes from my home to keep me from driving all the way to Buford at no charge. This is the only place I will buy a Power-stroke truck going forward.
