Default 2004 6 liter

I'm looking at another 6 liter. The only thing that does not work is the electric rear sliding window. I tried a search and found little to nothing on this topic in regards to repair & troubble shooting this issue. It could be as simple as a switch or the electric motor.

Where can I find info to trouble shoot this problem?

Thanks

Ozz, funny how i keep coming by your posts . On my 05, my rear slider was not working when i got it but it was an easy fix. Working in a mechanic/body shop i've worked with a ton of window issues. What i did on mine was lay down or remove the back seat whatever suits you best and take loose the carpeting on the back cab wall. The regulator is located there. Couple tricks i use on renewing mine. First off it is a cable system that you can see when you look around the slider (in window gasket area) first take compressed air and make sure the track is clean, next take the body of the regulator motor apart carefully. Pull the center armature out of the housing and take steel wool and clean the contacts on the armature where the bushes hit. Re-assemble and take some white lithium grease and spray the cables on both ends as you work the window back and forth. Did mine 2yrs ago and never a problem since. Or if your insurance has full glass they cover the back window too.

I spent all day driving and finally purchased an 03 6 liter previously owned by a diesel mechanic. He was selling it because he needed the money. Car fax showed no problems, FICM replaced 2 years ago and one fuel injector. 111K miles for 12$ Black with grey cloth interior. The only thing that does not work is the on demand 4x4. You have to manually lock the hubs..I'll fix that soon. Along with EGR delete, oil cooler and coolant filtration system.
