Default OH F*** OH F*** OH F***!!!

My rig has NEVER run this hot. On the highway doing 60-65 empty with no grade she was at 1200° AND CLIMBING. Even with the trailer pulling a 6% grade at 50 she would never pass 1050°. Coolant level was fine, ECT was 158°, EOT was 161°, outside temp was 59°. I know it's not a screwed up gauge or probe because the cool down monitor probe is in the downpipe (EGT gauge probe is in the manifold) and the module won't shut the truck down above 450° and she's been idling out there since I started writing this post (about 8 minutes). Took this pic as soon as I pulled into the driveway. I'm completely stumped at this point, no changes have been made to the fuel or tuning recently. Any thoughts???

No abnormal temp changes, my only idea that makes any kind of sense is the EGR valve is stuck open. So rather than cycling, the intake has a constant flow of extreme temps. I'll see how she does today.

Could be a bad sender, or the vanes in the turbo could possibly be stuck shut?

I was thinking sender or gauge messing up too.

If the vanes were stuck, he'd be having some serious running issues too, really high backpressure, falling on it's face at different RPM's, smoke everywhere... I'd think....

Yeah thats true. or its just starting to get sticky vanes. But usually when it happens like that the sensor is faulty in my experience.

Well I don't know what got into her but I'm glad it's gone now. This is doing 70 with 13 psi of boost.

Is there a cat on your truck? Could be clogging if so.
