Now it is possible that other stations add their own additives to the mix,, As for the cetane numbers just because it says 40 doesn't meen it's 40, it could be 46cetane, 40 is just the minimum, just lik 45cetane could be 45 or 48. So keep in mind the numbers are minimums and not always what they are.

With all of the traveling I do I keep a close check on the mpgs and also have experienced a lot of head winds and tail winds, especially in the South Dakota. With a severe headwind the mpgs will drop and be on the low side of "average" This trip this was the best mpgs I have gotten.

I know .75 mpg increase doesn't sound like much but figure that over 177,800 miles and that saves about 440 gallons of fuel. With prices running around $4.00/gal that adds up.
