Default Help With CFM Plus Intake Elbow

I tried to change the intake elbow in my 2004 6.0l and ran into a problem. Only on the 2004(luckey me) theres is a throtle plate under the stock elbow. In oreder to install the cfm elbow you must remove the plate. there are 2 plugs that go to this plate. I now have a check engine light because I have 2 plugs unpluged. I know there is a remedy for this I just am alittle new to this so I am looking for help.

Default Ummm

My friend Logan ran into the same problem. He lived with the cel. He just checkes codes every now and then to make sure nothing else popped up. Personally I dont see an improvement with swapping it out so I dont really jump on board with it. He was talking the other day about putting the stock one back on. Make sure that the new elbow you got is tall enough.

Yea I was pretty upset noone warned me about this (cfm or the guys i ordered the part from) Someone just told me that an SCT tunner will take care of it. I dont know anything about those though. The only other way I could go is with the accufab witch uses the throttle plate. Guess I will be out the almost 500 I spent on the cfm kit

Talk to the guys you bought it from. If they are a good business they will help ya out. I always offer a 30 day guarantee. If they wont refund your money they should atleast give ya a store credit

Default Heres the deal

Factory SCT tunes leave much to be desired. But the SCT tuner is excellent. Get custom tunes for your SCT from some guys that write tunes. They will perform a lot better and they can custom tune it to do certain things even turn your egr off.

I had some AWSOME results with my 04 Powerstroke with Innovative Diesel Tunes. Tons of Power, better shifts, TC Lockup, EGR Disable, and better fuel economy.
