I put a Sinister coolant filter on my 06 350 and it was a super easy install.

 

Looks like EFlive is just for Duramax?

I don't care much about flash, I care more about function and its not like i will bling out whats under the hood anyway. I have always been more of a sleeper kind of guy.

I still don't understand why there is not a software solution with a cable interface for a laptop. Seems a waste of money to have to buy a programming gismo piece of plastic for something that is obviously a computer reprogramming. Nothing against SCT, Edge, Bully Dog, and others but who does not have a laptop or access to one these days? Even a crappy laptop has 1000 x the processing power of one of these handheld units. I just don't get it. I will buy a tuner today through gritted teeth and a filter system of some sort.

P. S. - The truck is awesome, just everything I wanted and more, will try to post a pic later when it gets light.

If your looking to write your own tunes, check out SCT Advantage III or SCT Pro Racer. But you better know what your doing.

 

Well I don't know what I am doing in the diesel realm of tuning, I will openly admit that, but I will learn, quickly. I just thought it could be so much easier (and less expensive) to have a program with a cable for a laptop. Purchase the tunes, install the program, and load.

The sct is pretty simple. Install software. Get strategy from your truck. Get your custom tune. Load it to sct. Put it on truck.

 

Ever say something and wish you had stated it better? This is one of those times.

By simple I meant that with a laptop, a cable, adapters, you could program, scan, diagnose, and program endless cars and trucks. I am sure they do it all the time in large dealerships it has just not made it down to the consumer level. I am betting that's on purpose, everyone needs a job.
