Oh i know, i already talked to a buddy told me a new set of injectors will run me $1,100 if i order through him, his are $134 a piece i do believe. Still like this, if worse came to worse and i have to put all new injectors and a new FICM in that will all run me about $1,600. $10,000 dollar truck for $8,600. All about narrowing down to the exact problem.

Yes if the FICM was bad and had been run for awhile it will harm the injectors. But if the FICM was only recently gone bad then they should be ok. Test that FICM when you get there. It only takes about 10 minutes with help from a friend. ID also pull an Oasis report on the truck to check for any other hidden problems or what work has been done on it. Get the VIN# and go to your local Ford Dealership. They will print out the Oasis report for you. May cost a couple bucks, but most times its free. Also make sure the batteries are good. If one is bad then they both need to be replaced. Bad batteries will give codes for the FICM and make the truck run bad.

It only takes a multi-meter and 10 minutes of your time to test the FICM to see if it's bad, shouldn't be hard to figure out, and they can be repaired for $200 these days, or less if you find the right place.

The FICM test procedure is right at the top of the 6.0 page, it's a "sticky" up there.

Price is ok, that's a lot of miles. Should be ok though. I always am skeptical of how headstud jobs are done. My ford dealer put ARP's in for me and I blew the gaskets in 10k miles. They have no clue what they're doing for the most part (rarely you'll find a diesel tech at Ford that will actually know what he's doing). Ask what gaskest were used, if they were black onyx or Victor Reinz (same thing) you'll be doing them again, pretty much a guarantee. Ask if the heads were decked. Other than that, it should be a pretty solid truck. That many miles tells you it was driven more than parked, which is a good thing. There are good running high mileage 6.0's out there!
