Default ccv mod (canister)

Thought I would post up my ccv mod with some pics and see what you guys think. Getting sick of oil all over frame. Let me know if you guys think I should keep it or if I made a big mistake and should change it back. Cost around 50 bux to do. $20 canister, $3 fittings and $23 for 16 ft. of 3/4 heater hose.

Canister came from tsc. It's made out of polypropylene and it has a stainless steel 50 filter in it. My major concern was if something were to fail on my design would it cause me to get stranded somewhere? I say my design but it was actually on another site. Not trying to steal somebody else's thunder. I made a bracket that bolts to the frame but the canister is zip tied to the bracket. Haven't figured out a better way yet. I can get some better pics of it later and a total parts list if anybody is interested in doing it as well.

Nothing about this system will keep it from running, even if it wasn't hooked up at all it will only make a small mess. As for clamping it just go to an electrical supply house or home depot and get 2 2hole straps for holding electrical conduit and put them right where the fittings are screwed in to hold it in place, that way you don't have to remove anything when you drain the canister.

There showin up 4 me? I think my photobucket account is bein dumb. I kept it a closed system. I have a hose runnin from valve cover to the inlet of the canister and a hose runnin from the outlet to the intake. I took the filter off today and it appears to be workin. Nothin in the canister but stuck my finger in the one fitting and got some stinky fluid. Have to try and put some more pics up.

I see them now. They weren't coming up for me yesterday though, weird. Looks good man!

Sleepy is an understatement Bob... long story but basically 10 hrs of sleep all weekend combined, had to tow my camper an hour away in the dark/rain Monday night, only to come home to find a bat flying around my house that I manage to capture alive by hand, and then finally got to bed!
