ok guys i ordered a bunch of parts tonight im having som issues rallying my brain to see what i missed. i ordered a sinister diesel coolant filtration system, egr delet kit, 4" cat delete to go with my already 4" cat back magnaflow system. and i ordered the edge cts insight with egt probe to put in the truck. im gunna hold off a bit till funds increase to order my sct programmer. let me know if i missed anything

Make sure you have a 1/8 inch pipe tap for the EGT probe, I think you use a 5/16 bit for it,not positive though. When you drill the exhaust manifold it drills and taps alot easier if it is warm to hot so run the truck a little before you try to drill it, also don't run the tap all the way in or the fitting will be too loose.

There's really good instructions on how to install most of the gauges and probes etc on dieselmanors site.

List looks good though.

How much did you get your Edge CTS for? I found them at MKM Customs with the CTS insight/SCT 3015 combo kit for $749.

With just the Edge CTS being $649. And the SCT $379 separately. Seems like a good deal to pay $100 more to get both instead of $1050.

Being as my 03 is getting an oil cooler next weekend, I'd urge you to check your EOT/ECT split BEFORE doing the EGR delete. I did the EGR delete in Nov 2011, now I get to tear it all back apart to do the oil cooler.

Then again, the world ends December 21st, so what's the use?

i traded my edge juice with attitude that came in the truck when i bought it in for the the edge cts insight with egt probe for $239 so it was worth doing as far as the sct ill get it with tax returns most likely or if i sell enough fire wood to pay for it

ok got my edge cts insight in the other day and the ficm reads 47.5 volts across the board and ect is 190 and eot is 192 after driving it for a bit so that all seems good to me with no issues so no need for an oil cooler when i do my egr delete and coolant filtration system thank god. as for the sct i wasnt impressed with gear head since the programer is 409 and each tune is around 100 bucks so im not going that rought

They will typically throw in the tunes for free if you buy the programmer from them. It's worth calling and asking.
