Default Engine oil leak

I have no idea where the leak is coming from and it just started leaking like a week ago. It looks like to be coming from just above the starter? I can't see well enough up in there so I have no idea what the possibilities could be. Any ideas?

It is most likely coming from the top of the motor, it tends to roll down the back and to the side just like you are describing. Check the oil pressure sender, oil temp sender, one guy had the whole plastic piece of the pressure sender fail and was pouring oil out of it. Check the top and bottom of the turbo, could be the supply line or the orings on the return tube on the bottom. also check around the base of the oil filter housing and oil cooler that sits right below housing.
It is alot easier to find the leak at night just using a flashlite to see with, it is cluttered ontop of engine and you can see the actuall block at night, during the day or lighted garage it's alot harder.

Okay man I really appreciate it. What do you suggest is the best cold air intake for a 6.0

believe it or not but the factory piece is good, with a few mods it will pass just as much air as the aftermarket ones. Some people just remove the front section of it, I prefer to cut the front down so the snorkel doesn't go through the front toward grill area, basically the narrow piece gets cut off. i run the Amsoil/Injen setup, I like that you can clean the filter and I can pull the whole thing off in about 1 minute and it sure is purty sittin under the hood, unfortunately it is one of the most exspensive. I would put money toward an exhaust before a cold air intake

Add a coolant filter and oil bypass filter and you are good to go. A bypass filter filters out sutt and much smaller particles than the regular filter to add longevity to your motor and injectors that demand clean oil, I have 257k on original injectors and just now replaced 2 that propably didn't need replacing.
As far as other intakes you will have to let others chime in as I am not familliar with any of them other than the Injen unit, the only thing I've heard is to stay away from the K&N filters because they are too pourus and let dirt through because of the High volume of air that has to go through it.

Yup Im that one guy.. haha. Still scratching my head on how the top of the oil pressure sensor just blew off. Lost about 5 qrts in 2 miles before I new I had a leak. After fixing it. The residue oil that I couldnt get washed off just leaked off the backside for about a week. Check that sensor just as a precaution.
