Default 2000 Ex falling apart ! POS !

Ok......4 weeks ago I had the Gulf oil spill in my valley for the back plug on the HPOP.......fixed that............2 weeks ago the SES light starts coming on for #3 glow plug.....still trying to figure that out.......none wants to or knows how to help on that one......now tonite the alternator went up........putting out 10.76 volts and is hot as hell to the touch...... got a reman with a lifetime warranty at O'Reilly's for $169 less a $35 core......and picked up a new Gates green stripe belt since I will have it off...........will change it out in the AM......what the hell is next ?? 1 more thing goes up on this thing this year and it's gone ! I swear I've spent more on this Ex than any other vehicle I have owned and it only has 120k !

Ball joints at 75k
shocks 75k
new fuel pump 80k
front sway bushings 80K
steering box tightened 80k.......still drives funky
front brakes and rotors 85k.....still sucks and shakes your teeth out after a few miles of down hill
Batteries last fall
Front springs are beating the **** out of the bump stops now.....need them

Thanks man ! I am actually not that far from WNC.........how's you garage situation ?.....think I am going to do X codes up front and the modified B's on the back......will ride a little stiffer but I hear it will keep me from having to use 2" hangers up front to level it..........what are you looking at ??

I want the same set up plus i need to do some other things i've been putting off. If I don't have enough room in my 2 bay after parking the old ladies car outside, We can use a buddies garage. What's the deal with v code springs? Don't worry about accommadations and there is plenty for the the family to do while your here.

V codes are the good but you need 2 inch over shackles on the front to level it with B's on the rear.....I want nothing to do with 2 inch over shackles .......never has been a good idea.......remember from the old days.......too much lateral movement/stress....plus it has to jack the pinion angle.......you are serious about coming down aren't you ? I have 4 kids you know.......would not put you through that .......would get a hotel for my clan ! way too much for the normal person !

Well I guess I should start collecting parts for the ex. If you need the help, Kids don't bother me. Not enough ex owners around, Would hate to lose one because they got frustrated with it Whats a normal person look like

Ours has been somewhat trouble free... Ball joints, Tranny, wheel bearings this weekend, Spring bushings, a few GPC... it is what it is.

I would bet its the harness... Or it could be water in the connectors... Did you try Dielectric grease?
