Default same trucks but mine blows black smoke like crazy>?

my dad and i have the same exact trucks both have around the same miles or so the only differences he has extra cab 4x4 3/4 ton diesel 6.9 and a banks turbo kit. mine is a standard cab idi 6.9 4x4 3/4 ton diesel with an ats turbo kit and both pumps are turned up one flat mine blows crazy black smoke wich was cool at first but i dont like it any one have any reason why mine blows crazy black smoke and dads does not?

Boost leak or lack of boost or the ats system makes less? Got any gauges?

the only gauge i have is a pyrometer it does seem that dads makes a little more horse power but mine seems snappier? confused
