Default Rear drum removal. Dually. Sterling 10.25?

Broke a couple studs taking the rear wheels off. Guess the guy used some 1inch industrial stuff to put the lugs on. The studs are pressed in the drum and run through the hub. The drum cant come off unless the studs are pressed in, after being removed from the spindle. That means the axle has to come out, the retaining nuts removed and then the hub can come off.
Right?

There appears to be a large nut holding the spindle on and the bearing in. How do I get that off?
Is this a sterling?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

No. I believe you have a DANA 60. Did you pull the axle out?

I do believe it is a Dana 60 or 70. I will have to run the numbers on it to see what it is and what gear ratio. There is suppose to be a tag. It doesn't seem to be where it should.

I did pull the axel out. Does this matter?

Got the hub off. Had to tap the nut with a screw driver to get it off. Should be fun tapping it to spec back on.

Yep that's how you do it. Pull the axle and set aside. Make sure when you place the drum back on there is no free play and it spins freely. Grease the wheel bearings as well. My guess is you have a DANA 70 with 4.10 gears.
