Default need some help on my 6.9 idi

I have a question on my 6.9 idi I found a set of new injectors on craigslist never been open still in the plastic and was told 6.9 and 7.3 idi used the same injectors is this true? My truck runs rough like it has a miss and sometimes when u go out and start it up for the first time it dies and u have to crank it for6to 8 seconds and then it starts and it will idle smooth and then start running rough and then idles smooth again its kinda frustrating. But I was told the truck needs injectors it has 213,000 on it and they look like they are original. Thanks for any kinda help.

yes they are the same. find out the code on them. stay away from g codes. also if installin injectors, get a return line kit and change them at same time.

Are the codes stamped on the injectors? And what are some of good ways to test the injectors because I really don't want to buy injectors if it doesn't need them?

only way to tset the injectors is to send them out to a shop and have them pop tested.

codes are stamped on them yes. one of the flats where your wrench goes to remove them has it.

You think it would be just worth it to just put a set of new injectors in it. The truck has 213, 000 miles and I heard they are were good for around180,000

Mine wasn't leaking any fuel. It was one of the lines going to the water separater it was dry cracked.
