90 1 ton lift and tires.
I have seen a lot of this year with lift and tires but, my question is what will ACTUALLY fit with or with out a lift. my truck is stock as in no lift and stock tires and wheels. i want to put some 35X12.5-16r tires and wheels on it and i was wondering what back spacing and hight i can get with no lift. pretty sure 35's will fit with some trimming but does any one have any pics of it actually being done? if thats the case when i get my 4" lift can i throw 38's on it?
well the website is telling me i need a 4 inch lift to clear 35's? thats my problem it i can squeek out 38's on a 4 inch lift then i wont be wasting money buying tires next year cause i dont like how small they look with a 4 inch ya know?
Well u gonna have to trim front bumper if u still have original or move it forward some then trim bottom of front fender at an angle and also plastic fender well or push it back! The rear should clear just no heavy loads or flexing! Sorry I don't have any pic and ur right it shouldn't rub!
the 90 F350 I recently bought happens to have 36-14.50-16.5 swampers on it. And it's stock! The key is the backspacing on the wheels. Mine sit in under the truck pretty well, no trimming was done or needed. At full lock turning left only, the tire rubs the spring a little bit, what's weird is that it doesn't always do it but most of the time does.
My real opinion though... I hate the tires on my truck, I think the wheels sit just a touch too far in. I would rather trim the bumper slightly and even the bottom corner of the fender SLIGHTLY than have my tires hit the springs.
If the weather is decent tomorrow, I will take a couple pics to post up.
