Default changing leaf spring bushings!!!!

allright guys im working on a new project. all the leafspring bushings in my front end are shot!! its really bad. the bushungs on the shakles where they bolt to the frame are so worn out that i can slide them side to side bout 1/2 inch on eather side. and on the driver side leafspring the bushing up fronk is completly gone the bolt is resting on the eylet of the spring. as you can imagin my truck does not handle very well. i found a web site that sells pretty much every thing you could need for leafsprings and there prices dont seem to bad, but b4 i get to ording what it is i need, other then completly removing the springs what all is required to remove and replace the bushings, how do i get the old ones out and get the new ones in (BFH and chisle maby?)

If they're like most others your gonna need a press to make this job happen.

not gona need a press. go to advanced and get poly bushings for the springs, shackles and trackbar. they can be installed with a c clamp. to get the old ones out drill all around the old bushing into the rubber, then push them out. use some heat if needed.

the way i was saying the springs do not need to be removed from the axle. so no need for new ubolts. and my poly bushings tapped in with a hammer. no issues yet(2 years)

You can also use threaded rod with nuts and washers and a big socket to press them .

well i went to advanced, napa and autozone and they have no clue about the bushings so ima have to order them off line. the problem i think m going to run in to is that the front leafsprings came from an older ford truck so im not sure if the bushings are going to be the same and i dont know who to figure out which ones i need
