Default cranks

is it true if you put a turbo on a 6.9 it ruins the cranks.
i was thinking about droping a 7.3 into my truck and putting my 6.9 heads on it to jack up the compression.would these things be good idea

swaping heads will not do a thing. the heads are identical cept for the head bolts. 6.9 have 7/16th headbolts. 7.3 has 1/2 inch

Adding a turbo will not ruin the crank. I believe enough people have done it and have never had a problem with it that it's a non-existent issue. I do believe there may have been some people who added a turbo and then started driving their truck harder than they used to and screwed it up. It is kind of hard to keep your foot out of the floor with a turbo, I drive my 93 much harder than my 86.
