valve seals? i know from the factory all ford idi engines do not have exhaust valve seals.

That would require the removal of the heads right

no, it can be done without removing heads. just bring that cyl that u will be working on to TDC so the valves cant drop. i have done it. when the piston is at TDC, there is only room for 7 peices of paper to be stacked between piston and head.

What is all required to do that. Where to I get the valve seals?

I called ford bout the cdr valve its $66 thanks for th part numbers. Where can I get the hose that goes from the bottom of the cdr valve to the engin cuz they don't have that.

cant use yours?


the valve seals should be able to be had from any good parts store(napa).

will need a valve spring compressor to remove the spring without removing the head. there are 2 different kinds. need the little one that looks like this
Powerhouse: Deluxe Universal Overhead Valve Spring Compressor

then tools to remove the valve covers, and rocker arms. isnt to bad of a job. can get tight in the back cyls, but still possible.
