I got a used zf today and the guy i bought it from took the shifter assemble off to get it through the floor. Well when he did this the little sring with some sort of itlle lever fell into the bottom of the trans. Before i go and take the pto cover off i wanna make sure nothin else is gonna fall out when i take the cover off.

 

nope. cover should come off and nothing fall out.

 

I got the spring out with no problems popped the pto cover off and it fell right out. Learned not to put the pto cover on till after the shift tower was on after dropping down both the spring then the little arm in there 2 more times. Great learning experiance and changed the fluid while i had the covers off.
