about how much does a project like that cost? thinking about doing that too on my 1990 7.3 and would a turbo from a 7.3 powerstroke work? like a 97?

with custom enginneering yes. will it bolt on, no. a used turbo setup for an idi can be found for 800-1000, or less if u get a good deal. new they are 1800-2400. banks, ats and hypermax sell turbo kits.

if the 94 is an idi, it will bolt right on. that is the setup i am running. the stock idi turbo is made by ats.

find used ones on ebay, craigslist or junkyards. i found mine in a junk yard.

for a daily driver ehh. maybe. if towing alot yes. i wheel with mine, not much road use and no towing other than the sled pulls i do every now and then. big different in mud. can hold rpms spinnin tires now in 3rd gear high range in mud.
