I am new to Diesel Bombers and Diesel trucks. I have a 1985 Ford 250 3/4 with a 6.9 L diesel and the glow plugs are not heating up. I have replaced the contoller make sure the batterys are fully charged. Before the plugs stopped working I had to turn the key 6 - 20 times before the glow plug indicator on the dash will light up for starting.

Any suggestions

 

Its possible that your glow plugs in general could be bad. Did you check your harness on the right side of the on the finger well is the glow plug relay harness. or you may have not hooked up your reply properly

 

The light not wanting to come on is a sign of bad plugs normally. When it finally comes on, how long does it stay lit?
