MBP, the engine is plenty strong enough th handle a turbo, the main difference in all the systems is price. plenty of people have installed turbo setups on n/a 6.9 and 7.3's with great results and long life

banks i heard but not sure that banks is out on idi's parts now, they may have kits to sell but may not produce more or parts for old ones. check on that though

hypermax is a decent kit from what ive heard. almost complete but some fab work needed

ats kit is by far the most complete, also the ats kit was what the factory used back in the day of the factory turbo diesel idi's the ats kit actually is better than factory due to less restriction "thanks to FORD" plus now the ats is using the new aurora turbo.

THANKS JNICEWAN!!!
WERE I LIVE ITS VERY DIFFICULT TO FOUND A TURBO TO THE 6.9 ENGINE
SOME GUYS SELL PARTS OF USA USED CARS AND TRUCKS....AXLES...DIESEL ENGINES..DISC BRAKES..JEEP PARTS..ETC.
THEY BUY IT THERE..IN THE JUNKYARDS AND BRING IT HERE ....BY BOAT
BUT THEY DONT SELL USED TURBOS
AND A NEW ATS ,BANKS OR HYPERMAX TURBO HERE IT WILL BE VERY EXPENSIVE
IT COULD BE POSSIBLE FOUND A USED TURBO ON A JUNKYYARD THERE?? WHAT DO YOU THINK OF BUYING A USED ONE ??
I ALWAYS HAVE SOMEONE THAT GOS TO USA THAT COULD BUY IT...

Holey Moley MPB. Did I read that correctly? A 6.9 IDI in a CJ? I really gotta see this. I just stuffed a SBC long pump with fan clutch and all in a '62 ****** pickup and it was tight. I wanted to squeeze a 6.2 or 6.5 in but decided to wait until I got the bugs worked out of this swap first.
