You might be able to get by lifting the body off the frame just enough to make room. If not, probably have to drop the engine.

Helped a guy do a set of heads on a 7.3 van. He had to lift the body up a ways to make room.

You have plenty of room. I've done the IP & injectors on my 87 E-350 4x4. No problem!

IDI engines...no problem.

DI engines...a little tight but can still be done.

Default You dont have to do any of that

We replaced out injector pump and the injectors of our 93 econoline and all you have to do is pop the hood and take the engine cover in the cab off. Our engine was running really rich and washed out a cylinder or two and we replaced the pump and it fixed all of our problems. We did the injectors just because you are supposed to do them both at the same time. Do not drop the engine unless you have nothing else better to do and you like takeing 4x as long as you need to. Good luck PM me if you need any more van advice.
