Default 6.9 no power

Hello, kindsmen! Im brand new on this forum so please be gentle... I`ve got a 87 6.9 IDI in my truck. It ran all so great a while ago but driving it home last weekend it started loosing power an after a few miles it started doggin it. Top speed: 15 mph! Got home and ripped out the filter, a li`ll dirt and water. Put new one in, checked for fuel at injectors: ok. Truck still doggin! My IP gone bad? The feeder pump lost it? Anybody suffered the same experience? What to do?

I would throw an electric inline fuel pump on, helps a lot and I never had to bleed my injectors after that

Default Aright!

Ok guys! I fired my truck up and it runs great on idle. Fuel pressure at filter: 3.5 psi at idle. The flow; I dont now... Gonna rip the lift side on the fuel supply apart tomorrow to check for clogging. The pressure on the lift side doesent really tell you much since it´s the flow your really depending on, I guess. I`m afraid I killed the injector pump driving the truck home with the noticeable power loss. Guess I need to put an electrical pump in and try from there... Anybody got a functional IP for sale?

$200 for an IP used with 40K is a steal but you do not have to take anyones word on it look on Car-Parts.com and you will see it is a good deal! a rebuilt will run over $500 If you do change it out DO NOT remove the drive gear you will have a headache getting it lined back up! ! Not that I would ever do something like that!

I put an electric pump on and the truck fired up like never before! Nice flow on lift side, don´no pressure since my p.o.s pressure gauge bailed on me. Put it in drive and went for a biddy drive... She ran even worse No power. And I´m serious: NO power. Tow truck back to shop... Checked the return line from IP and it was hardly any diesel in it. Anyone got a drawing on the IP? I´d like to check inside for clogging... And yes,4x4manonbroke, I´m interrested in buying your pump!!! Thats seems like a fair bargain!
