I always wondered about the HX35 ?

I mean I know its off of a cummins .. but .. 7.3L worht of air should make is spool nicley as long as the primary piping was around 2" or so.. good velocity .. big Down pipe would be good ...

Obviously this would be a fab guys work in progress ..

Do you know of any kits? Or take the turbo and piping and everything off of a certain truck or engine?

I would use the up pipes form the IDI and then use a t-3 flange and fab it up to fit a hx35 .. and then limit the boost to 15 PSI .. Should be easy

Your not going to have an engine long .. going from a N/A to turbo takes more than a turbo intake and a turbo set-up ..

Your gonna loose a rod and or burn a piston up .. Trust me .. Seen it manny times .. wont have it long before it kills your lower end .. the wrist pins are smaller on the N/A than on the turbo engine .. Different pistons as well ..

Its your Engine .. But .. I told ya so !!!

If I can't put on the hx35 and the piping and everything because I'm going from the N/A to turbo then how can I get the banks turbo kit when it doesn't come with new pistono or anything like that and not blow my engine? Really confused?

They will sell you anything you want .. they will not install it and warrentee it for ya though ..

heck I will install it for ya .. but when it blows up .. its not my problem .. you can put nitrous on anything .. NOS systems is not gonna warentee it just cause it blew up with there system on your truck ...

If you called .. and told Banks that your planning on doing this build .. they would tell you the same thing .. It WIll fit .. and IT WILL RUN .. now ask them how long .. you'll get a different time frame depending on who you talk to ..

I put a 4" exhaust, Big air cleaner, Royal Purple 15/40, and I had the IP timed to about 9-10* BTDC .. My truck with the 4 spd. would kill Powerstroke trucks all day .. the ones that beat me .. had more than 500 HP ... Lol
