Default need some help!

I bought a 1988 Ford F-350 with the 7.3 diesel and the 5 speed trans. Well the truck sat for about 2 years until i bought it and the problem I have is that the clutch pedal and the brake pedal seem to be froze together on the shaft. When you push in on the clutch pedal the brake pedal pushes in also. I have used about 4 cans of lube and many hours of working it in, I have it now where it will work but is still both pedals are hanging up. Is there some fix that someone knows of? Thanks for any info. Tom

yer talkin bout the common shaft that the peddels pivot off of?

I think if ya keep sprayin the pennitratin oil on it then work it hard back and forth with yewr hands it should bust loose....................get it loose and out of there and smooth it up with some emery cloth and re-install with some good grease to keep it from happnin again

Default Hmm

thats a good question. Like Whit said keep working it. But the only 2 ways for it to be right are to either replace it or take it out and get them apart so you can clean the surfaces.

how big of a job would it be to take it out? you can barely see that damn thing up in there. I used another can of lube today I have tried all kinds too, best one yet was wd-40. I would be willing to drop it out if not too big of a job. Tom
