Source for 7.3 IP
My injection pump died on me over the winter, It stopped pump fuel altogether. I even hooked up an electric pump and tried to get it to force fuel through the IP, but still no luck. Im not sure if the shaft sheared (I was running WVO at the time) or what happened.
Anyways, I may or may not have a core to work with. I need a new pump to put on the thing. I know everyone screams buy a moose pump but I really cannot afford the 650 for one of those bad boys. Are there any other shops that do rebuilds, or is there a good place to have mine sent to be rebuilt?
Also, is it necessary to do injectors along with the pump install. I will do them too if need be, but like I said, funds are tight.

Did you check your fuel shut-off on the top of the IP? Sounds like it's the problem if an electric won't pump through it. Just a thought.
With the key switch on unplug the connector and see if it clicks...I'm betting it won't.

Google Pensacola Diesel...I've had good luck with their stuff.

I would suggest pensacola diesel aswell, and I wouldn't say the fuel shut off, if you've been running the truck to E them I'm willing to put money down, that you threw out the tolerance's of the pump head, will shoot fuel cold, not hot IE no start when hot. Exactly what happened to me, I replaced it and the injectors at the same time, which is HIGHLY recommended so that you are putting an even load on the pump, since they injectors are worn and more than likely popping at different pressures they will cause pre-mature pump failure (ask me how I know )

Yeah, I checked the fuel shutoff. Both it and the timing advance give a nice solid click when the key is on. I also pulled the fitting from the return port on top of the IP and nothing was in there.
The only things I have not checked are the input pump and the shaft itself.
And I'm pretty sure what killed it was the WVO. It was a 20 degree Night. I let the truck idle for about a half hour, I have heated lines and a heated tank on the WVO setup, but anything upstream from the wvo pump is not heated. So when I switched, it ran like garbage on that cold oil. Instead of switching back to diesel immediatley, dumbass me decided to wrap it up. I revved it to 1500 for about thirty seconds and it smoothed out some, then quit altogether.
My fear is that it got a burst of hot oil and shocked the IP, shearing the shaft.
