the shifting ... I would look at your drive shaft ... chock tires put in N and start trying to find loose u -joints or bad slack @ pinion ....

Made no sense with my post

--------------------

Have you checked the transmission fluid, just a good place to start, along with the u-joints

So where the lines go to the fittings are leaking some would that be causing the starting problem what happens is I turn the key to WTS light then it goes off and then I hear either 4 or 5 clicks then that stops then I try to start and nothing I repeat process about 4 or 5 times it cranks idles rough for about 7 secs than it's good .. And how would I check for a bad pinion or slack or u joints ?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

As I meen by nothing when I go to crank I meen nothing no noise it like it goes dead but it has 2 new batteries and lights are stroung

Typically the shift real firm and real snappy .. not a bad thing either ... slow and lazy wears out the clutches and bands faster .. not good for performance or towing ..

yeah ... just remember these auto's in the ford .. regular maintence will save you some real problems ... and if it starts messing up ... take it in right away .. they are a bit problematic but if you jump on it asap ... it might save ya a bunch..
