My Ford diesel is late shifting out of passing gear.Do you know Y?It's a 7.3 not a 7.1.

Does the OD light flash at all and does it go into OD at all?

 

it is a automatic.The OD light does non com on -no codes.

 

Huh.... well I dunno much about these auto's my self soooooo ..... I'm not much help .... miggt try just pulli g pa. And doing a routine service .... just as a precautionary measure of course ..... a plugged filter can killem quick

 

I have a 5.8 out here and if i'm trying to get out of passing gear I have to feather the throttle a little bit, it has the e4od and it's just always been like that as long as i can remember. I just fixed a 9 year long transmission problem with it the other weekend so I'm feeling quite accomplished

 

gonna be the TV cable .... runs from throttle to transmission .... its out of sync with the throttle ...
