Does the owner of the 7.3 have a maintenance record of work done on the truck?

most likley if it runs good now its a good deal ... although the 7.3 has its small issues .... the triton has menny more isues that can be even more costly .... I assume its a Power Stroke truck ('94) but if it is an idi ... your gonna want to know if thge coolant is SCA-Precharged ... if not cavitation of the cylinder walls is a major issue .... if they know that the correct coolant has been used then you will notice they lack some power but with cheep tuning they do come alive quite nicley .... ... ask 97 cummins ... my truck for what it is is quite fast and has plenty of umpff

Hey 4x4, what all have you done to yours? What size exhaust. I'd like to wake my '93 IDI up. Nothing crazy just tired of driving like a grandpa on Sunday afternoon.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

As far as the trade, I'd do it. As long as it's running good. I traded a CJ for my crew cab and am happy I did. My truck has issues but 1: I don't have to "smog" it and 2: everything is built to last. I got mine with 350,000 miles and were up to 368,000. Pretty soon I need to fix the stupid ZF5 reverse problem, but I think I'll be rebuilding the whole tranny then.

I have ported heads .... mostly the exhaust ...... I gasket ported them ...matched the gasket and port to the same size .... I have 3"primary pipes into Y runs up to 4" @ Y then single 4" with dynomax diesel power muffler .... 5" Dynomax tip ........ sounds awesome ......... also pulled the factory air cleaner and installed a 14X6" K&N filter with a spacer underneath it .... ( note ..... if u don't space it, it can arc on the GP realy ) . I'm hoping for around 200-215HP @ tires on the dyno ..... 500#/ft. Torque would be great ..... we shall see ......
I also run Royal Purple 15/40 W/ Z-max ....... my engine was spotless inside ... I was really shocked at the cleanliness and no carbon ..... considering I also run waste oil in my fuel...... 1gallon of clean filtered oil 2 qts of waste atf per 10 gallons of fuel ..... can't wait for dyno runs

Sund like a Nice little setup. Thee numbers sount realistic too. And I bet yo still get decent mileage. Someday I might do all that, I don't want nothin crazy, but I would like a bit more than what is there now. I plan on exhaust soon and see what that does. Comparing what my psd has to this truck alway made me feel like it was being strangled. Not enough flow

Hence the porting job... the exhaust helps a ton .. and the big air cleaner makes it loud as heck under the hood .. working on a sheet metal intake for one of these .. need to go get a core engine for fab work .. headers would be a premium also
