Ive got a 1984 Ford F350 dually, single cab 2 wheel drive I use for work. Its a 6.9 with the 4 speed transmission. It seems to lack in power, I was just wondering what some of the options were to power it up. its straight piped but the pipes only 2.5 inch I had the muffler cut out cuz it was rusted threw and just replaced it with pipe, other then that the motor is bone stock. Ive heard turning up the ip an 8th of a turn helps and adds blacksmoke witch is always a plus, Is there any way to add a turbo without spending the 2500 for an ats kit? like maybe using parts from a power stroke? powerstroke parts dont fit. you can find used kits online for the turbo and that is the best mod. but if thats out of your price range then coolingmist meth kits are good. they add a little power and clean your motor and keep your egts in check. they are far cheaper than snow performace and from what ive read better pumps. if your turn up your pump id get a pyro so you dont melt anything

 

I'm making my own custom holset hx35 and ive calculated under $1000
