last night leaving a friends house my battery light came on, revved it a few times went away. this morning came on again and gauge wasnt reading but wouldn't turn off/go up, pulled the alt had it tested and it failed, replaced it(had them test it before i left the store) and the voltage regulator and the light is still on, everything seems to be fine still starts every time batteries are not draining

I'm stumped at this point maybe the sender for the gauge and wire? its a 92 7.3 auto any help is much appreciated

Look at the wire running to your cluster/gauge. Had similar on tractor and found the wire partially disconnected from the connector. Good luck.

 

Cleaned all connectors and grounds problem fixed
