Default need some help if ya'll dont mind.

so my oil pan is leaking and i want to replace the gasket so do i have to pull the motor? or can i simply just unbolt it and pull it out?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

guess thats a dumb question? it just doesnt look like it has enought room to drop and move out the way, and i dont want to unbolt and mess up the old gasket more and then not be able to change.

from my understanding ( eve though ive never done it) you loosen motor mounts and jack up the motor and pull it out. could be wrong though........

ive done it with out pullin the motor its a rear bitch, you gotta unbolt the body and set on 4x4 un bolt motor n tranny, and do a lot of jacking, lifting, prying.then drop pan but will not come all the way off just drops down about 5-6 inches but enough to remove old gasket and then you are able to snake the new gasket back into place, now i think about it i wouldve been easy to just pull the dam motor
