had my truck down for a couple days because a wire grounded out and fried the battery clamp and cable , fixed everything yesterday, started her up and shes white smokin like hell and backfiring any ideas?

well not real sure but I would check for an air restriction some where. Sounds like possible plugged air filter which would cause it to smoke and at times cause a backfire. Could be timing out, but wouldn't think that would be your issue if it was running fine before you shut it down. Its either air restriction (to much fuel not enough air) could be lean (to much air not enough fuel) or timing.

yea filters fine i ran it with no filter still did the same thing its something strange i know , but im out of ideas so im taking it to ford monday and crossing my fingers
