Default seems gutless....

hey guys, so I've got a 94 non powerstroke turbo diesel F250, unfortunately its got the automatic behind it, but its got the oversized pan and cooler. My question for you guys is that it seems underpowered and gets horrible mileage, what would be my first step in gainin some power? I've been told that doing an exhaust is a huge undertaking and requires the firewall to be beaten in to gain clearance, and that it doesnt help that much. is there any truth in that? any help is greatly appreciated!

What i would do before you do an exhaust is to make sure the engine is in good shape, injectors and things like that. Try the 4" exhaust, it's a turbo back kit, goes from the turbo on back, try and loosen it all up but not to where it falls on ya as your getting it loose the rest of the way up, then take the clamp on the turbo loose and it should pop rite down, the slide ur 4" system in place, and make sure all the hanger and eveything line up tighten SNUGLY from the back going up, just loosley tight not installed tight so you can have room to move everything to make it fit.

4" turbo back.....have fun fitting that downpipe in there to the factory outlet flange. Just get the banks replacement DP. How many miles on fuel system? What's your timing and TPS (FIPL) set to?
