Question where to get a fuel heater for a 7.3?

Is the fuel heater in the 7.3 when u put an ohm meter on it read no ohms? I get ohms and voltage when i turn the key on at the wire for the heater all that works fine, I dont even see how im getting started in the winter time, does it sound like mine is working or do i have to get a new one, where would I get one from?

My understanding is that they do not start working until it senses that the temperature is 32* or lower. I not sure exactly how a person would go about testing one to determine if it is good or not.

The plug in on top is a place that will allow air to enter into your filter head and cause all types of headaches with air intrusion, since there is a oring around the plug surface, between the metal filter head and the heater.

If your wanting to replace the heater, I have seen them on ebay, but I personally purchased mine from my local stealership for iirc for about $80.00.

I got a fuel heater filter water separator off ebay for $65. Ran it for a while and never seemed to have an issue. I believe it is made by techni car and heats fuel to 90 deg.
