Default 99 Dodge Ram 47RE Troubles

Hi Im new and have read several cheep fixes for the the TC lock and unlocking issue with very little to no success, 1 cleaned all grounds took ground points on cab to bare metal worked for a week then troubles started again then tried rapping the ground wire with aluminum foil nothing, pulled the wires away from the alternator and still same issue.

I found this in a web search and wanted to know is it worth the money.

You pulled wires away from alternator how? you have to pull the black w/ tan tracer out of that loom and away from the other wires all the way back to where it splits off. I ran mine up over the radiator shroud. did that, reset apps and haven't had an issue since. But yeah those noise filters work if all else fails.

I did not pull it completely out and away from the wire harness.

I will do that and how do you reset the APPS sensor

Thank you for the information I will pull the ground out to the split and route it over the radiator like you suggested.

I just did the ground points and zip tied the black/tan tracer wire to the alternator bracket then reset the apps, amazingly it worked.

Unhook you batteries for half hr, turn your headlights on for a second then turn off to get rid of any lingering charge in the system, hook batteries back up, turn key on but dont start, slowly push accelerator pedal to the floor and slowly let it back up at the same rate.

I pulled the ground out of the harness and routed it along the top of the radiator but I have not reset the apps and that stopped the issue with out me resetting the apps sensor but I would do that to for good measure.

Thank you all for your help and advice
