Ok so a guy asked me if id be interested in trading for his 95 12 valve 4x4 ext. Cab. Its automatic built with bdd parts and suncoast converter and valve body. Has intake, rear airbags, power everything, new exhaust, rear bumper, steering gear box ball joints tie rods etc. New trans lines hardly and rust and no rust holes. Pretty clean. Has just right at 200 k miles. With the red interior and a 0 fuel plate and turned up a little.

Now I have a 2003 fx4 supercrew loaded with 135000 miles has a small body lift and tires need replaced.

What do you guys think? He's asking 10 and it books for less than 4k

Looks like an alright truck, but if he's asking 10k he's high. Plus I thought you wanted back doors that open?

10K seems a little high... Give us some more details about your Ford. Might be a fair trade

Fully loaded except leather,135000. Small body lift, bedlinen step rails hitch, 5.4 v8 6 disc cd player. The guy already said he wanted 1000 cash so I told him to suck it and goodluck he still has the truck

Ok. Found two trucks both guys are willing to and wanting to trade me. First is a 95 2500, he says it has 148000 and odometer says that but title doesn't and he said dash has been replaced he said he messed up mileage when he put title in his name so I don't know which is true, has injectors lift pump front end rebuilt 5 speed built and clutch, cab corner needs replaced and door has some rust.
Second is a 96 3500 dually single cab flat bed, has 223xxx built as well injectors turbo fuel lines pump lift pump intake exhaust, guy seems legit only thing I don't like is its a flat bed. Both are 4x4 the 95 also is missing the shift linkage for 4x4 from when he rebuilt trans and has a small oil leak from front case I haven't gotten to drive either. So if you were me what would you do?

Thanks guys

the work being done on the 96 is nice but its only nice if the guy treated it well. drive them both and dont let the excitment of driving the 96 skew your opinion chose whichever one seems like the best deal to you.

if you do buy the one with all the aftermarket parts try and write down what all has been done. it can be a pain to have to guess or replace more than requiredin the future. and get the info when you get the truck. seems like anytime you buy vehicles used as soon as the deal is done the seller never wants to talk or tell you anything after the fact.

i have a neibor with bone stock 98 with 230k on it. the only thing he has ever done is change 1 injector. but i have known people whos very similar trucks dont make it to 200k. you got to take care of your ****. or thrash it within an inch of life and sell it. but you can usually see those trucks coming.

good luck and let us know what you decide.
