Default Very stiff rear springs

Just removed a service body and installed a standard box back on my 2500 dodge. There are overload air bags on it but there is no pressure on them. I think that it might have heavier or extra springs. She rides like a lumber wagon. My '84 Ford 1 ton rode better. Does anyone know how many springs were stock and how wide/thick?

My '01 had 4, 3" wide springs. It also had overload springs, and air bags. I now have 3, 3" springs and the air bags. It rides very nice unloaded, and only takes 35psi to level the truck with my holiday trailer hooked up.

Yup, how many leafs are in the spring pak? also if you want the bags to last you have to run a minumum of 5-10 psi in them per the manufacturer specs.

There are six springs in the pack plus the air bags. This might have something to so with the rough ride!! Thanks for the tip on the air bags "red rattler". I am still building and have only put on about 10 miles so hopefully I haven't hurt the bags. If I want to remove a couple springs, which ones do I remove?

If I remember correctly, the second leaf down determines ride height. So leave it, the top, and of course the very bottom one for sure. I would pull the 3rd from the top, and 5th from the top. Remember to use new center bolts, and new U bolts.
