My old truck hates the cold. Only -2 this am and it won't fire. Ever since I advanced the timing, this thing won't start for sh__ in the cold. I think I need to change from
15W to 5W and see if I can get more life out of this thing.

I do that too. New batteries too. There's a newer dodge, 06 or so, in the lot that turns right over...like a gasser. Makes me ill

You need to reset your timing and then use 5w30 HDD. Mine turns over real nice with he 5w30 HDD in it even when it was -24 below a few weeks back

I thnk so. He never told me where they set it but I don't like the way it starts. I'm going with the 5W-40 next time. Try the new stuff I guess.

Nope I guess I don't ( as a bead of sweat forms on my forehead)
But it is nice to read about it just in case I am up in the colder areas in the future. Thanks for all your information
