Default nv3500 oil

if you can use amsoil 5w-30 in it does that mean can use royal purple 5w-30 to??

synthetic same same as long as the weight required is correct

"5W30 engine oil does not contain additives for the use in manual transmissions. Also, additives in the standard gear and the axle lubes will etch the bronze synchronizers and 80W oil does not flow properly into the NV3500 bearings. The use of regular gear and axle lubricants in this transmission can cause destruction."
I keep telling people to use synchromesh in the trannies that call for lighter oils, but some still insist on using motor oil. Oh well...

good read when i used the search for nv3500 oil i just found thread on amsoil 5w-30 is good for it but i will be getting the synchromesh for sure
